{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-362.1-403","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 362.1-403","heading":"Partner's rights and duties with respect to information.","body":"(1) A partnership shall keep its books and records, if any, at its chief executive office.\n(2) A partnership shall provide partners and their agents and attorneys access to its\nbooks and records. It shall provide former partners and their agents and attorneys\naccess to books and records pertaining to the period during which they were\npartners. The right of access provides the opportunity to inspect and copy books and\nrecords during ordinary business hours. A partnership may impose a reasonable\ncharge, covering the costs of labor and material, for copies of documents furnished.\n(3) Each partner and the partnership shall furnish to a partner, and to the legal\nrepresentative of a deceased partner or partner under legal disability:\n(a) Without demand, any informatio n concerning the partnership's business and\naffairs reasonably required for the proper exercise of the partner's rights and\nduties under the partnership agreement or this subchapter; and\n(b) On demand, any other information concerning the partnership's bus iness and\naffairs, except to the extent the demand or the information demanded is\nunreasonable or otherwise improper under the circumstances.\n(4) The partnership agreement may impose reasonable limitations upon use of\ninformation obtained under this sectio n and may define appropriate remedies,\nincluding liquidated damages, for the breach of any reasonable limitation on use.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=34487","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:57Z","sha256":"1c948eef7e6579e6511b5fa801c40c9c5f507ec6674744e8d8d3d1fc73cf1ae7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-362.1-402","next":"us-ky/krs-362.1-404"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
