{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-362.1-603","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 362.1-603","heading":"Effect of partner's dissociation.","body":"(1) If a partner's dissociation results in a dissolution and winding up of the partnership\nbusiness, then KRS 362.1 -801 to 362.1 -807 apply; otherwise, KRS 362.1 -701 to\n362.1-705 apply.\n(2) Upon a partner's dissociation, the dissociating partner's:\n(a) Right to  participate in the management and conduct of the partnership\nbusiness terminates, except as otherwise provided in KRS 362.1-803;\n(b) Duty of loyalty under KRS 362.1-404(2)(c) terminates; and\n(c) Duty of loyalty under KRS 362.1 -404(2)(a) and (b) and duty o f care under\nKRS 362.1 -404(3) continue only with regard to matters arising and events\noccurring before the partner's dissociation, unless the partner participates in\nwinding up the partnership's business pursuant to KRS 362.1-803.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=34497","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:57Z","sha256":"b4a58c03085e202b11d28230ba1cbabfee49eab364b744c9fde04cf81ced97aa","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-362.1-602","next":"us-ky/krs-362.1-701"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
