{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-362.2-208","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 362.2-208","heading":"Liability for false information in record.","body":"(1) If a record delivered to the Secretary of State for filing under this subchapter and\nfiled by the Secretary of State contains false information, a person that suffers loss\nby reliance on the information may recover damages for the loss from:\n(a) A person t hat signed the record, or caused another to sign it on the person's\nbehalf, and knew the information to be false at the time the record was signed;\nand\n(b) A general partner that has notice that the information was false when the\nrecord was filed or has be come false due to changed circumstances, if the\ngeneral partner has notice for a reasonably sufficient time before the\ninformation is relied upon to enable the general partner to effect an\namendment under KRS 362.2-202, file a petition pursuant to KRS 362. 2-205,\nor deliver to the Secretary of State for filing a statement of change pursuant to\nKRS 362.2-115 or a statement of correction pursuant to KRS 14A.2-090.\n(2) The provisions of this section are in addition to those in KRS 14A.2-030.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36813","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:58Z","sha256":"d1b1818e780b2c4debef8e23fb4e72adf6001577ff67a6261a67803f67efe20b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-362.2-207","next":"us-ky/krs-362.2-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
