{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-362.555","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 362.555","heading":"Registered limited liability partnership -- Manner of registration.","body":"(1) To become and to continue as a registered limited liability partnership, a partnership\nthat is not a limited partnership shall file with the Secretary of State a statement or a\nrenewal statement, as the case may be, that satisfies the requirements of KRS\n14A.2-010 to 14A.2 -150 stating the name of the partnership that satisfies the\nrequirements of KRS 14A.3 -010; the address of its principal office; the number of\npartners; the names of the partners; a brief statement of the business in which the\npartnership engages; and that the partnership registers its status or renews its status,\nas the case may be, as a registered limited liability partnership.\n(2) The statement or renewal statement shall be executed by a majority in interest of the\npartners or by one (1) or more partners authorized to execute a statement or renewal\nstatement.\n(3) The statement or renewal statement shall be accompanied by a fee of two hundred\ndollars ($200).\n(4) The Secretary of State shall register as a registered limited liability partner ship, and\nshall renew the registration of any registered limited liability partnership, any\npartnership that submits a completed statement or renewal statement with the\nrequired fee.\n(5) Registration shall be effective for one (1) year after the date a sta tement is filed,\nunless voluntarily withdrawn by filing with the Secretary of State a written\nwithdrawal notice executed by a majority in interest of the partners or by one (1) or\nmore partners authorized to execute a withdrawal notice. Registration, wheth er\npursuant to an original statement or a renewal statement, as a registered limited\nliability partnership shall be renewed if, during the sixty (60) day period preceding\nthe date the statement or renewal statement otherwise would have expired, the\npartnership files with the Secretary of State a renewal statement. Registration\npursuant to a renewal statement shall expire one (1) year after the date the\nregistration would have expired if the last renewal of the registration had not\noccurred.\n(6) The status o f a partnership as a registered limited liability partnership shall not be\naffected by changes made in the information stated in the statement or renewal\nstatement after the filing of the statement or renewal statement.\n(7) The Secretary of State may provide forms for use under this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 362"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36761","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:56Z","sha256":"6ed722c7400308e2d879499d2dee1293432011799fbc735bab0d27a0d0e22e73","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-362.550","next":"us-ky/krs-362.560"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
