{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-363.630","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 363.630","heading":"Spot checks of commodities offered for sale.","body":"The director shall, from time to time, weigh or measure and inspect packages or amounts\nof commodities kept, offered, or exposed for sale, sold, or in the process of delivery, to\ndetermine whether the same contain the amounts represented and whether they b e kept,\noffered, or exposed for sale or sold in accordance with law. When such packages or\namounts of commodities are found not to contain the amounts represented, or are found\nto be kept, offered, or exposed for sale in violation of law, the director may order them\noff sale and may so mark or tag them as to show them to be illegal. In carrying out the\nprovisions of this section, the director may employ recognized sampling procedures under\nwhich the compliance of a given lot of packages will be determined o n the basis of the\nresult obtained on a sample selected from and representative of such lot. No person shall:\n(1) Sell, or keep, offer, or expose for sale, in intrastate commerce, any package or\namount of commodity that has been ordered off sale or marked  or tagged as\nprovided in this section unless and until such package or amount of commodity has\nbeen brought into full compliance with all legal requirements, or\n(2) Dispose of any package or amount of commodity that has been ordered off sale or\nmarked or  tagged as provided in this section and that has not been brought into\ncompliance with legal requirements, in any manner, except with the specific\napproval of the director.","path":["KRS Chapter 363"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=34685","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:00Z","sha256":"34d277db63cf3b7bb90383a7a3a5ea2a708b43e75fc0280431398b5afd7491f2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-363.620","next":"us-ky/krs-363.640"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
