{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-363.770","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 363.770","heading":"Meat, poultry, seafood to be sold by weight only.","body":"Except for immediate consumption on the premises where sold, or as one (1) of several\nelements comprising a ready-to-eat meat sold as a unit for consumption elsewhere than on\nthe premises where sold, all meat, meat products, poultry (whole or parts), and all seafood\nexcept shellfish, offered or exposed for sale or sold as food shall be offered or exposed\nfor sale and sold by weight. When meat, poultry, or seafood is combined with or\nassociated with some other food element or elements to form either a distin ctive food\nproduct or a food combination, such food product or combination shall be offered or\nexposed for sale and sold by weight, and the quantity representation may be the total\nweight of the product or combination, and a quantity representation need no t be made for\neach of the several elements of the product or combination: provided, that, for ready -to-\ncook, whole carcass, stuffed poultry, ready -to-cook stuffed poultry roasts, rolls, bars, and\nlogs, and ready -to-cook stuffed poultry products designated by terms of similar import,\nthe label must show the total net weight of the poultry product and, in proximity thereto, a\nstatement specifying the minimum weight of poultry in the product.","path":["KRS Chapter 363"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=34699","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:00Z","sha256":"ac6031fc57e9aaa005d56d5e60a7d0eefcaf128f8b8ccccf54dfef557f31fb39","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-363.760","next":"us-ky/krs-363.780"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
