{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-365.220","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 365.220","heading":"Request for news and offer to pay charges; no business to be done after","body":"refusal.\n(1) Any person carrying on in this state the business of conducting or publishing a\nnewspaper may notify any foreign corporation of the kind referred to in KRS\n365.210, or any agent of such corporation upon whom process can be served under\nthe laws of this state, that he desires to purchase or be supplied with the news or\ninformation bought, gathered or accumulated by such corporation, and offer to pay\nthe same charges or prices therefor that are exacted by such corporation from other\npersons carrying on in this state the business of conducting or publishing a\nnewspaper.\n(2) No such corporation, and no agent or employee thereof, or other person, shall carry\non, transact or cause to be conducted any of the business of the corporation in this\nstate after the corporation has refused to vend, supply, distribute or publish the\ninformation or news bought, gathered or accumulated by it to any person who has\ngiven the notice and made the offer provided for in subsection (1) of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 365"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=34756","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:00Z","sha256":"ce6a5245785c3a76bfb335b07db50b9dafadfe90c40a9d468d6e9107dc8bdaaa","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-365.210","next":"us-ky/krs-365.230"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
