{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-367.620","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 367.620","heading":"Definitions for KRS 367.620 to 367.628.","body":"As used in KRS 367.620 to 367.628:\n(1) \"Contractor\":\n(a) Means a person that engages in the business of contracting, providing, or\noffering to contract or provide, goods or services relating to real estate; and\n(b) Includes any person that directly or indirectly solicits or offers a real estate\ngoods or services contract;\n(2) \"Goods or services relating to real estate\":\n(a) Except as provided in paragraph (c) of this subsection, means goods, services,\nor goods and services relating to real estate;\n(b) Includes any:\n1. Repair, replacement, construction, reconstruc tion, or improvement of\nreal estate; and\n2. Tree or debris removal; and\n(c) Does not include:\n1. Investigating, negotiating, or effecting the settlement of an insurance\nclaim; or\n2. Otherwise adjusting losses or damages covered by an insurance policy;\n(3) \"Insured\" means a person that is entitled, or may be entitled, to receive benefits or\npayments under a property, casualty, or property and casualty insurance policy;\n(4) \"Person\" has the same meaning as in KRS 367.110;\n(5) \"Real estate\":\n(a) Means any parcel of real estate located in this state that is used for any\npurpose; and\n(b) Includes:\n1. Residential real estate; and\n2.
