{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-367.660","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 367.660","heading":"Exempt solicitations.","body":"The following solicitations are exempt from the provisions of KRS 367.650 to 367.670:\n(1) Solicitations by an organization of contributions from its members and their\nfamilies only, if membership is not included in a solicitation to avoid the provisions\nof KRS 367.650 to 367.670, is not granted upon the basis of contributions alone,\nand is within the exception of KRS 367.650(3).\n(2) Solicitations by a religious organization for funds for religious purposes such as\nmaintenance of a house of worship, conduct of services, and propagation of its faith\nand tenets as distinguished from other charitable and civic purposes employed by\nnonreligious organizations.\n(3) Solicitations by a publicly -owned or nonprofit privately -endowed educational\ninstitution regulated by  the Kentucky Board of Education, the Council on\nPostsecondary Education, or an equivalent public authority of the jurisdiction where\nthe institution is located, from the alumni, faculty members, student body of the\ninstitution and their families, and from  corporations, for the continuance of an\nestablished educational program.\n(4) Local solicitations by a student group or parent-teacher association for its campus or\ngroup connected activities with the approval of the administration of the educational\ninstitution.","path":["KRS Chapter 367"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=35032","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:05Z","sha256":"ab46d8a30e298452dc4cf5375376384af7af9d525da8429b963aec626e906ff4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-367.658","next":"us-ky/krs-367.664"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
