(Effective","body":"January 1, 2027)\n(1) (a) Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this subsection, a vehicle financial\nprotection product offered, sold, or given to a consumer in this state shall\ncomply with KRS 367.701 to 367.709.\n(b) Paragraph (a) of this subsection shall not apply to any debt waiver offered by\na state or federal bank or credit union in compliance with applicable state and\nfederal law.\n(2) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, vehicle financial protection products\nissued before, on, or after January 1, 2027, shall not be considered insurance.\n(3) KRS 367.701 to 367.709 shall not apply to any vehicle financial protection product\noffered prior to January 1, 2027.","path":["KRS Chapter 367"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=58233","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:05Z","sha256":"7a327cafcf96ed172c510a82fe416874fe8b7aa7b48fd603e21c954153daad41","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-367.702","next":"us-ky/krs-367.705"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
