(Effective","body":"January 1, 2027)\n(1) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, any amount charged or financed for\na vehicle financial protection product:\n(a) Is an authorized charge that shall be separately stated; and\n(b) Shall not be considered a finance charge or interest.\n(2) (a) An extension of credit, the terms of a loan, or the terms of a related vehicle\nsale or lease shall not be conditioned upon a consumer's payment for, or\nfinancing of, any charge for a vehicle financial protection product.\n(b) A vehicle financial protection product may be discounted or given at no\ncharge in connection with the purchase of other noncredit -related goods or\nservices.","path":["KRS Chapter 367"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=58234","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:05Z","sha256":"6d014d51815aa35465fd968d076af71584d9be0da579641f1c45c9e7373a45c7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-367.704","next":"us-ky/krs-367.706"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
