{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-367.710","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 367.710","heading":"Definitions.","body":"(1) \"Owner\" means the original purchaser of a mobile home for use as a residence.\n(2) \"Dealer\" means any person or business enterprise which sells new mobile homes to\nconsumers.\n(3) \"Manufacturer\" means any person or business enterprise engaged in the business  of\nmanufacturing, assembling or distributing on behalf of a manufacturer new mobile\nhomes.\n(4) \"Wholesaler\" means any person other than a manufacturer who sells new mobile\nhomes for the purpose of resale.\n(5) \"Mobile home\" means a structure, transportable  in one (1) or more sections, which\nis eight (8) body feet or more in width and is thirty -two (32) body feet or more in\nlength, and which is built on a permanent chassis and designed to be used as a\ndwelling with or without a permanent foundation when conn ected to the required\nutilities, and includes the plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and electrical systems\ncontained therein.\n(6) \"Purchase price\" means the actual amount paid by the owner, including the value of\nany traded merchandise involved in the transaction, and any sales or usage tax.\n(7) \"Defect\" is a defective part or material installed, or improper workmanship\nperformed, by a manufacturer, wholesaler, or dealer which poses an imminent\ndanger to the owner's or occupant's health or safety or to t he right of occupancy and\nwhich would cost the owner more than four percent (4%) of the purchase price to\nrepair or replace.","path":["KRS Chapter 367"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=35050","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:05Z","sha256":"2c17ed8d54523b30e7807ffb0c2323ea9240c678ee6f6db09e22b1b44ab60f4a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-367.709","next":"us-ky/krs-367.715"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
