{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-367.807","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 367.807","heading":"Exemptions from registration --Administrative regulations.","body":"(1) An offeror is exempt from the provisions of KRS 367.801 to 367.819 and KRS\n367.990 when the offeror:\n(a) Meets the definition of a franchise as defined in the Federal Trade\nCommission's Regulation on Disclosure Requirements and Prohibitions\nConcerning Franchising and Business Opportunity Ventures, as set forth in 16\nC.F.R. 436 et seq., and has complied with these and filed written notice so\nstating with the office; or\n(b) Offers a security pursuant to KRS 292.313;\n(c) Offers an ongoing business for sale; or\n(d) Offers a not -for-profit sale of sales demonstration equipment, materials, or\nsamples for use in making sales and not for resale for a total price of $500 or\nless.\n(2) The Attorney General may promulgate administrative regulations as needed to\nprovide for additional exemptions.","path":["KRS Chapter 367"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54557","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:05Z","sha256":"e231abb1df0ad0e18c45699a7839ad4b2bb2a203b242ee03320da8f724cbf805","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-367.805","next":"us-ky/krs-367.809"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
