{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-367.93101","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 367.93101","heading":"Definitions for KRS 367.93101 to 367.93121.","body":"As used in KRS 367.93101 to 367.93121, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(1) \"Cemetery merchandise\" has the same meaning as in KRS 367.932;\n(2) \"Declarant\" means an individual who signs a funeral planning declaration executed\nunder KRS 367.93101 to 367.93121;\n(3) \"Declaration\" means a funeral planning declaration setting forth the declarant's\npreferences regarding the manner of disposition of the declarant's remains that is\nexecuted under KRS 367.93101 to 367.93121 and in a form prescribed by\nadministrative regulation promulgated by the Office of the Attorney General;\n(4) \"Designee\" means an individual designated and directed by the terms of the\ndeclaration to:\n(a) Carry out the funeral plan of the declarant; or\n(b) Make any arrangements concerning the disposition of the declarant's remains,\nfuneral services, cemetery merchandise, funeral merchandise, or ceremonies;\n(5) \"Funeral\" has the same meaning as in KRS 316.010; and\n(6) \"Funeral merchandise\" means caskets, outer burial containers, urns, clothing,\nregister books, acknowledgement cards, other memorial products, and any other\nsimilar products that are commonly sold by or used in funeral homes.","path":["KRS Chapter 367"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45041","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:06Z","sha256":"f6259ec6ad871de737ea0d2398835c64ecd6a480f0a51afa5025a683cf9b96ef","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-367.930","next":"us-ky/krs-367.93103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
