Except for objects used for\nidentification, cremated remains shall not be contaminated with foreign material\nunless specific authorization has been received.\n(2) If cremated remains within the closed container do not adequately fill the container's\ninterior dimensions, the extra space may be filled with appropriate filling material\nwhich shall not come in direct contact with the cremated remains; and the lid or top\nshall then be securely closed.\n(3) If the entire processed remains do not fit within the dimensions of the designated\nreceptacle, the remainder shall be returned in a separate container.\n(4) When a temporary container is used, the outside of the container shall be clearly\nidentified with the name of the deceased person whose cremated remains are\ncontained therein.","path":["KRS Chapter 367"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=35142","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:06Z","sha256":"0f83c318c3a15fccac79143b9f1789a7e7e8a9b4e21f9d0e5e0f3dc06c278821","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-367.97517","next":"us-ky/krs-367.97524"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
