{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-37.200","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 37.200","heading":"Officers and personnel -- Administration -- Equipment -- Housing --","body":"Enlistment and discharge of men.\n(1) The Governor of Kentucky is hereby authorized to appoint and commission the\nnecessary officers for the Kentucky active militia. The adjutant genera l of the state\nwith the approval of the Governor shall prescribe rules and regulations governing\nthe enlistment, organization, administration, pay, equipment, discipline and\ndischarge of the personnel of the Kentucky active militia; obtain by requisition o r\npurchase from the Secretary of Defense such necessary arms and equipment as may\nbe secured from the Department of Defense, or procure from some other source the\nnecessary arms and equipment to maintain and equip the Kentucky active militia;\nand provide t he necessary space for the housing of property and for the purpose of\ndrills and instruction.\n(2) All officers shall be appointed and commissioned by the Governor.
