{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-381.795","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 381.795","heading":"Examination of records by owner.","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, an owner may examine and\ncopy the books, records, and minutes of the association pursuant to reasonable\nstandards set forth in the declaration, bylaws, or other rules and regulations\npromulgated by the board, including standards governing the type of documents to\nbe examined and copies and the time and location at which the documents may be\nexamined, including a reasonable fee for copying documents.\n(2) Unless approved by the board, an owner may not exam ine or copy from books,\nrecords, or minutes of the association:\n(a) Information that pertains to personnel matters of the association;\n(b) Communications with legal counsel or attorney work product pertaining to\npotential, threatened, or pending litigation or other property-related matters;\n(c) Information that pertains to contracts or transactions under negotiation, or\ninformation that is contained in a contract or other agreement containing\nconfidentiality requirements;\n(d) Information that relates to the  collection of assessments or listing of past -due\nowner names, lot numbers, plat numbers, lot addresses, or street addresses; or\n(e) Information the disclosure of which is prohibited by state or federal law.","path":["KRS Chapter 381"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53666","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:11Z","sha256":"941cdc1405c2b7e76303147aad6975af17c65cc562b1becaa504170c1c72542c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-381.794","next":"us-ky/krs-381.796"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
