{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-381.800","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 381.800","heading":"Display of political yard signs -- Conditions -- Existing contrary provisions","body":"are void.\n(1) The governing documents of an association shall not prohibit the outdoor display of\npolitical yard signs by an owner or resident on the owner's or  resident's property.\nSigns shall be displayed no earlier than thirty (30) days before any special, primary,\nor regular election and no later than seven (7) days after that election unless a\nlonger time period is provided by local ordinance. The governing documents may\ninclude reasonable rules and regulations regarding the placement, size, and manner\nof display of political yard signs.\n(2) All planned communities in this Commonwealth shall be subject to the provisions\nof subsection (1) of this section, and any provision of any existing governing\ndocument of a planned community in contravention of subsection (1) of this section\nis void.","path":["KRS Chapter 381"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56131","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:11Z","sha256":"79061121f80e61e645ab85600093afb5fcb1fa12521cde249715646732fdc6cd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-381.799","next":"us-ky/krs-381.801"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
