{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-381.9145","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 381.9145","heading":"Alteration of units.","body":"Subject to the provisions of the declaration and other provisions of law, a unit owner:\n(1) May make any improvements or alterations to his or her unit that do not impair the\nstructural integrity, utility components, or mechanical systems or lessen the sup port\nof any portion of the condominium;\n(2) Shall not change the appearance of the common elements, or the exterior\nappearance of a unit or any other portion of the condominium, without the written\npermission of the association; and\n(3) After acquiring an adjoining unit or an adjoining part of an adjoining unit, may\nremove or alter any intervening partition or create apertures therein, even if the\npartition in whole or in part is a common element, if those acts do not impair the\nstructural integrity, utility components, or mechanical systems or lessen the support\nof any portion of the condominium.
