{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-382.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 382.320","heading":"Clerk may correct errors and omissions of predecessor.","body":"(1) If the office of any county clerk has been vacated, leaving any instrument recorded\nin his office, the original of which has never been taken therefrom, and in the record\nof which, or the authentication thereof, there is a deviation from the original, the\nsuccessor shall correct such record by making it an exact copy of the original\ninstrument and authentication.\n(2) Whenever the clerk who has vacated his office has failed to put his name to the\ncertificate on any instrument which he has recorded, or to the record thereof, and the\noriginal has not been removed from his office, the successor shall sign the name of\nhis predecessor to the certificate, and shall make a note on the record at the foot of\nthe certificate, of any act so done.","path":["KRS Chapter 382"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=35616","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:12Z","sha256":"4cfa87c139965f770dfacc1ede21e1d465f1e685fa94d9ee4c14e3f144ab3bdb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-382.310","next":"us-ky/krs-382.330"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
