{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-382.430","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 382.430","heading":"Instrument constituting lien to give mailing address of lienholder.","body":"(1) No mortgage, conveyance, or other instrument or writing constituting a lien or other\nsecurity for any note or other evidence of indebtedness shall be received for record\nby any county clerk unless such mortgage, conveyance, or other writing gives a\nmailing address of the lienholder.\n(2) Should there be an assignment of such mortgage, conveyance, or other instrument\nor writing constituting a lien or other security for any note or other evidence of\nindebtedness, of record in the clerk's office, the assignment shall state the address of\nthe assignee.\n(3) For the purposes of this chapter, a mortgage that has been recorded with any county\nclerk shall not be deemed invalid or ineffective as constructive notice for failure to\ninclude the county of residence or the principal place of business of the mortgagee\nor holder of the note or other evidence of indebtedness.","path":["KRS Chapter 382"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40692","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:13Z","sha256":"a74c3e88c2611ec87c0106934065a19c4074380e9f4c0b0da88a393eeb67434e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-382.420","next":"us-ky/krs-382.440"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
