{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-383.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 383.110","heading":"Landlord's lien for money or supplies furnished -- Enforcement of lien.","body":"(1) A landlord shall have a superior lien, against which the tenant shall not be entitled\nto any exemption, upon the whole crop of the tenant raised upon the leased or\nrented premises to reimburse the landlord for money or property furnished to the\ntenant to enable him to raise the crop, or to subsist while carrying out his contract of\ntenancy. But, the lien of the landlord shall not continue for more than one hundred\nand twenty (120) days after the expiration of the term. If the property upon which\nthere is a  lien is removed openly from the leased premises, without fraudulent\nintent, and not returned, the landlord shall have a superior lien upon the property so\nremoved for fifteen (15) days from the date of its removal, and may enforce his lien\nagainst the property wherever found.\n(2) The landlord may enforce the lien given in subsection (1) of this section by distress\nor attachment, in the manner provided in this chapter for the collection of rent and\nsubject to the same liability.","path":["KRS Chapter 383"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=35689","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:13Z","sha256":"040b75a85d82e5bddd4179bcc83cf0acc6e206a2628ca4d71c4c036af56d9666","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-383.100","next":"us-ky/krs-383.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
