{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-383.605","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 383.605","heading":"Tenant's maintenance obligations.","body":"A tenant shall:\n(1) Comply with all obligations primarily imposed upon tenants by applicable\nprovisions of building and housing codes materially affecting health and safety;\n(2) Keep that part of the premises that he occupies and uses as clean and safe as the\ncondition of the premises permit;\n(3) Dispose from his dwelling unit all ashes, garbage, rubbish, and other waste in a\nclean and safe manner;\n(4) Keep all plumbing fixtures in the dwelling unit or used by the tenant as clean as\ntheir condition permits;\n(5) Use in a re asonable manner all electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, ventilating,\nair-conditioning and other facilities and appliances including elevators in the\npremises;\n(6) Not deliberately or negligently destroy, deface, damage, impair or remove any part\nof the premises or knowingly permit any person to do so; and\n(7) Conduct himself and require other persons on the premises with his consent to\nconduct themselves in a manner that will not disturb his neighbors' peaceful\nenjoyment of the premises.","path":["KRS Chapter 383"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=35738","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:14Z","sha256":"d49b6a1a2382c7262f4b037edcd5f6635eea9a4ef145c2a4c65767068ea24aa0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-383.600","next":"us-ky/krs-383.610"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
