{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-384.090","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 384.090","heading":"Enforceability of contracts of infants executed to obtain benefits of federal","body":"law providing for the making or guaranty of loans to war veterans.\nWhen the repayment, by the borrower, of money advanced or to be advanced under a\ncontract of loan or credit has, on application of the borrower, been made by or guaranteed\nin whole or in part by the federal government or any agency thereof, under authority of\nfederal law enacted for the benefit of war veterans, the borrower shall not thereafter be\nentitled to avoid the contract on the ground that he was an infant when the contract was\nmade, nor shall he or his spouse be entitled, on the ground of infancy, to avoid any\nmortgage or other instrument of encumbrance executed contemporaneously with such\ncontract for the purpose of securing the same, nor any contractual transaction in\nconnection with such contract of loan or credit pursuant to which the borrower acquired\ntitle to or an interest in the property encumbered to secure the loan or credit. For the\npurpose of  any litigation seeking to enforce the contract of loan or credit, or any\nencumbrance securing the same; for the purpose of any contract or conveyance executed\nunder a settlement or refinancing plan approved by the federal authority by which the\noriginal l oan or guaranty was made; and for the purpose of making and executing any\ncontract or conveyance necessary to the full realization of the rights, privileges and\nbenefits intended to be conferred by the federal law, pursuant to which the loan or\nguaranty wa s made, including contracts necessary for the proper utilization of the\nproperty acquired with the proceeds of such contract of loan or credit; the borrower and\nhis spouse shall be deemed to be of full age.","path":["KRS Chapter 384"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=35769","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:14Z","sha256":"ea4d8f45cc276f180f258f714d1c8101678770e43647f5dd89314a93a41c7c8d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-384.080","next":"us-ky/krs-385.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
