{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-387.289","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 387.289","heading":"Application of KRS 387.010 to 387.280.","body":"(1) The provisions of KRS 387.010 to 387.280 shall apply to:\n(a) Any guardian, limited guardian, or conservator appointed after July 13, 1990;\nand\n(b) Any guardian for a minor ward appointed prior to July 13, 1990, unless the\nguardian was appointed pursuant to KRS 387.500 to 387.770.\n(2) A guardian for a minor ward appointed prior to July 13, 1990, shall have the powers\nand duties:\n(a) Specified in KRS 387.135, if the guardian was appointed to have care, custody\nand control of a minor;\n(b) Specified in KRS 387. 137, if the guardian was appointed to manage the\nfinancial resources of a minor;\n(c) Specified in KRS 387.065 and 387.125, if the guardian was appointed to have\ncare, custody, and control of a minor and to manage the minor's financial\nresources.","path":["KRS Chapter 387"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36033","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:21Z","sha256":"115e6b24e119c8da36158a25941434194f24fb839db95dbd950475da81cd21e9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-387.288","next":"us-ky/krs-387.290"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
