{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-387.680","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 387.680","heading":"Duties of limited conservator or conservator.","body":"It shall be the general duty of the limited conservator or conservator to carry out,\ndiligently and in good faith, the specific duties and powers assigned by the court and to:\n(1) Manage or assist in managing those financial resources placed under his\nsupervision and/or control as would a prudent person managing his own resources,\nincluding establishing or placing resources in a trust, and, if a conservator has\nspecial skills or is named conservator on the basis of representations of special\nskills or expertise, he shall use those skills; and\n(2) Encourage the ward to:\n(a) Participate, to the maximum extent of his abilities, in all decisions which\naffect him;\n(b) Act on his own behalf on all matters in which he is able to do so; and\n(c) Develop or regain, t o the maximum extent possible, his capacity to manage\nhis financial resources and, if impaired, his capacity to meet the essential\nrequirements for his physical health or safety.","path":["KRS Chapter 387"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47476","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:21Z","sha256":"45b18242833459b2a7403b63aa58bbe78cd3bd37cc344ec9eea9b68443915440","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-387.670","next":"us-ky/krs-387.690"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
