{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-388.190","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 388.190","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) The term \"person\" includes a partnership, corporation or an association.\n(2) The term \"Veterans Affairs\" means the United States Department of Veterans\nAffairs, its predecessors or successors.\n(3) The  terms \"estate\" and \"income\" shall include only moneys  received by the\nguardian or conservator from the Veterans Affairs, all earnings, interest and\nprofits derived therefrom and all property acquired therewith.\n(4) The  term \"benefits\" shall mean  all moneys  paid or payable by the United\nStates through the Veterans Affairs.\n(5) The  term \"administrator\" means  the administrator of veterans affairs or his\nsuccessor.\n(6) The term \"ward\" means a beneficiary of the Veterans Affairs.\n(7) The  term \"guardian\" as used herein shall mean  any person acting as a\nfiduciary for a person adjudged mentally disabled.\n(8) The  term \"court\" means  the District Court of the county of the beneficiary's\nresidence.","path":["KRS Chapter 388"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45846","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:22Z","sha256":"7703f0b21d402c6e4fcf44a90758e3152a1fa1662c86b24328f51a20657a63d6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-388.180","next":"us-ky/krs-388.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
