{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-393a.290","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 393A.290","heading":"Notice by administrator.","body":"(1) The administrator shall give notice to an apparent owner that property presumed\nabandoned and appears to be owned by the apparent owner shall be held by the\nadministrator under this chapter.\n(2) In providing notice under subsection (1) of this section, the administrator shall:\n(a) Not be required to use newspaper publication to provide notice; and\n(b) Maintain a Web site or database accessible by the public and electronically\nsearchable that contains the names reported to the administrator of all\napparent owners for whom property is being held by the administrator.\n(3) The Web site or database maintained under subsection (2)(b) of this section shall\ninclude instructions for filing with the administrator a claim to property and a\nprintable claim form with instructions for its use.\n(4) In addition to giving notice under subsection (2) of this section, the administrator\nmay use printed publication, telecommunication, the Internet, or other media to\ninform the public of the existence of unclaimed property held by the administrator.","path":["KRS Chapter 393A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48126","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:24Z","sha256":"05176c3103599af0411f936ebd0b46e78449ad31ab1bbd33d15220a87619f06f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-393a.280","next":"us-ky/krs-393a.300"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
