{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-393a.420","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 393A.420","heading":"Recovery of securities or value by owner.","body":"(1) If securities are sold by the administrator before the expiration of three (3) years\nafter their delivery to the administrator, a person making a claim under this chapter\nbefore the end of the three (3) year period shall be entitled to the proceeds of the\nsale of the securities or the market value of the securities at the time the claim is\nmade, plus dividends, interest, and other increments up to the time the claim is\nmade, less any deduction for expenses of the sale.\n(2) A person making a claim under this chapter after the expiration of the three (3) year\nperiod shall be entitled to receive the securities delivered to the administrator by the\nholder, if the securities remain in the custody of the administrator, or the net\nproceeds received from the sale, and shall not be entitled to receive any appreciation\nin the value of the property occurring after the delivery to the administrator.","path":["KRS Chapter 393A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48139","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:24Z","sha256":"726d1ed78d8a751a87481d997c2cc749eb18c10bc2cfdd03cd509e46e698b2a7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-393a.410","next":"us-ky/krs-393a.430"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
