{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-395.012","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 395.012","heading":"Right to file demand for notice of action regarding estate.","body":"(1) Any person having a financial or property interest in a decedent's estate may file a\ndemand for notice with the court at any time after the death of the decedent, stating\nthe name of the decedent, the nature of the demandant's interest in the estate, and\nhis address or that of his attorney.\n(2) If a personal representative has been appointed at the time of filing of the demand,\nthe court shall advise the demandant of the appointment and transmit a copy of each\norder entered, regarding the estate to the demandant.\n(3) After the filing of a demand, no order or filing to which the demand relates shall be\nentered until the person seeking such order certifies as provided in the Rules of\nCivil Procedure that the demandant or his attorney has been given written n otice.\nThe requirement for notice arising from a demand under this provision may be\nwaived in writing by the demandant and in any event shall cease upon the\ntermination of his interest in the estate.","path":["KRS Chapter 395"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36310","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:26Z","sha256":"141ea3baafddb88b6fbcfad85ff0049e9040580a69b3824ce22a36c74c6e82db","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-395.010","next":"us-ky/krs-395.015"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
