{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-395.150","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 395.150","heading":"Compensation of representatives.","body":"(1) The compensation of an executor, administrator or curator, for services as such,\nshall not exceed five percent (5%) of the value of the personal estate of the\ndecedent, plus five percent (5%) of the income collected by the executor,\nadministrator or curator for the estate.\n(2) Upon proof submitted showing that an executor, administrator or curator has\nperformed additional services in the administration of the decedent's estate, the\ncourt may allow to the executor, administrator or curator such additional\ncompensation as would be fair and reasonable for the additional services rendered,\nif the additional services were:\n(a) Unusual or extraordinary and not normally incident to the administration of a\ndecedent's estate; or\n(b) Performed in connection with real estate or with estate and inheritance taxes\nclaimed against property that is not a part of the decedent's estate but is\nincluded in the decedent's estate for the purpose of asserting such taxes.","path":["KRS Chapter 395"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36328","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:26Z","sha256":"51df80156c8ce132d979bcd30815f34f754836190a5a21826959a15d413e0ff1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-395.145","next":"us-ky/krs-395.155"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
