{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-39f.040","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 39F.040","heading":"Specialized squad using search dogs -- Requirements -- Organization of","body":"general rescue squad.\n(1) One or more persons with search dogs and handlers may constitute a specialized\nrescue squad using search dogs, under the terms and conditions as specified  in\nwriting by the director;\n(2) Each handler of a dog shall have a vehicle available for the transportation of the dog\nand handler to the scene of a search;\n(3) Each handler shall meet the training requirements of the statutes and administrative\nregulations relating to searching with dogs;\n(4) The primary dog utilized in responding to the search shall be certified in accordance\nwith the statutes and administrative regulations;\n(5) Each handler shall have the equipment required by statute or administrative\nregulation for searching with dogs; and\n(6) No single search dog handler shall engage in general rescue squad activity or\nspecialized rescue squad activity unless he or she is a member of such an\norganization.","path":["KRS Chapter 39F"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21797","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:59Z","sha256":"c1479abb980f3380f8fbb1002bcf568d206e0b41bac19796262a865c64910b59","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-39f.030","next":"us-ky/krs-39f.050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
