{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-39f.080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 39F.080","heading":"State coordinator for search and rescue -- Appointment and duties.","body":"The director of the Division of Emergency Management shall appoint a state coordinator\nof search and rescue, who shall:\n(1) Identify, inventory, and coordinate resources available for searches and rescues;\n(2) Investigate and apply for grants and other fin ancial assistance for searches and\nrescues;\n(3) Maintain statistics regarding searches and rescues;\n(4) Coordinate assistance during searches and rescues;\n(5) Act as liaison with other states' operations involving searches and rescues;\n(6) Provide assistance, upon request, during searches and rescues;\n(7) Prepare a plan for searches and rescues;\n(8) Prepare and distribute publications relating to searches and rescues;\n(9) Establish, by administrative regulation, recommendations for organizations\nspecializing in search and rescue, and certify organizations which meet those\nrecommendations at the appropriate level;\n(10) Maintain a list of all certified organizations and resources;\n(11) Coordinate training in techniques of search and rescue; and\n(12) Coordinate requests for federal assistance with the Air Force Rescue Coordination\nCenter.","path":["KRS Chapter 39F"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21801","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:59Z","sha256":"9eb0118345cac6787714b662a50f1e90e07f72cede63b7984cbf5fbabb9c78a4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-39f.070","next":"us-ky/krs-39f.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
