{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-39f.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 39F.110","heading":"Rescue aid fund -- Duties of director of division -- Local director's","body":"responsibilities.\n(1) The director of the division shall have overall responsibility for policy, guidance,\nadministration, implementation, and proper utilization of the rescue aid fund.\n(2) The director shall serve as principal liaison between the division and local officials\nparticipating in programs affected by the rescue aid fund, and shall ensure proper\nutilization of the rescue aid fund.\n(3) The director shall appoint an advisor y committee consisting of seven (7) members,\nincluding no more than four (4) employees of the staff of the division to assist in\nmaking determinations related to rescue grant fund allocations, compliance with\nfund requirements, releasing equipment to rescu e squads, and withdrawal and\nreallocation of equipment or funds. The members of the committee shall serve at the\npleasure of the director, but for no more than four (4) years without reappointment,\nand shall serve without reimbursement, except when funded through the Emergency\nManagement Assistance Program. The decisions of the committee shall be advisory\nonly and shall not be binding upon the director.\n(4) The director, with the advice of the advisory committee, shall make determinations\nrelating to rescue grant fund applications, releasing equipment to rescue squads, and\nwithdrawal and reallocation of equipment or funds.\n(5) Area managers of the division shall fully explain rescue grant opportunities and\nrequirements to local elected officials, local emerg ency management directors, and\nlocal rescue squads; review rescue grant fund applications, documentation and\nprogram submissions; and make recommendations to the director.\n(6) Local emergency management directors shall be responsible for submitting rescue\ngrant fund applications and documentation of expenditures to the division, as\nrequired, and shall facilitate and ensure the coordination of local rescue programs to\nmeet the needs of the communities served.\n(7) The chief officer of the rescue squad shall i nitiate rescue grant fund applications,\nsubmit all applications or documentation to the local emergency management\ndirector, and ensure that all funds are expended for items or services as approved.","path":["KRS Chapter 39F"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21804","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:59Z","sha256":"4354db19a2e2639f25fea12f994b82639ec860b200865f663b734450ffb6321e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-39f.100","next":"us-ky/krs-39f.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
