{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-39f.220","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 39F.220","heading":"Training courses to contain instruction on behavioral characteristics and","body":"proper care of lost persons with traumatic brain injury or developmental\ndisability.\n(1) Each basic search and rescue course offered by or under the authority of the\nDivision of Emergency Management shall contain not less than thirty (30) minutes\nof instruction in the behavioral characteristics of lost persons with a traumatic brain\ninjury or developmental disability and the proper care of lost persons with a\ntraumatic brain in jury or developmental disability, including but not limited to\nautism.\n(2) Each search and rescue management course offered by or under the authority of the\nDivision of Emergency Management shall contain not less than one (1) hour of\ninstruction in the beh avioral characteristics of lost persons with a traumatic brain\ninjury or developmental disability and the proper care of lost persons with a\ntraumatic brain injury or developmental disability, including but not limited to\nautism.\n(3) The Division of Emergency Management shall seek recommendations regarding the\ncurricula for basic search and rescue training and search and rescue management\ntraining sessions from organizations with a history of, and demonstrable experience\nserving or advocating on behalf of, individuals with autism, intellectual and\ndevelopmental disabilities, or traumatic brain injuries.\n(4) The time allotted for the subjects required by this section for each course and the\ncontent for each course shall be specified by administrative regulations promulgated\nby the Division of Emergency Management.","path":["KRS Chapter 39F"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40537","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:59Z","sha256":"5e295964bdb036e0668a407f84137cec213493992770a323282108ec550432c6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-39f.210","next":"us-ky/krs-39f.990"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
