{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-40.362","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 40.362","heading":"Veterans' Service Organization Burial Honor Guard trust fund.","body":"(1) There is established and created in the State Treasury a fund entitled the \"Veterans'\nService Organization Burial Honor Guard trust fund\" to provide funds to offset the\ncosts of the Veterans' Service Organization Burial Honor Guard Program. The fund\nmay receive state appropriations, gifts, grants, federal funds, and any other funds\nboth public and private. Moneys deposited in the fund shall be disbursed by the\nState Treasurer upon the warrant of the commissioner of the Department of\nVeterans' Affairs or his  or her representative. Any unallocated or unencumbered\nbalances in the fund shall be invested as provided in KRS 42.500(9), and any\nincome earned from the investments along with the unallotted or unencumbered\nbalances in the fund shall not lapse and shall  be deemed a trust and agency account\nand made available solely for the purposes and benefits of the Veterans' Service\nOrganization Burial Honor Guard Program.\n(2) The fund shall be used to support the costs which veterans' service organizations\nincur in p roviding and supporting a well -equipped, properly trained, and certified\nburial honor guard.","path":["KRS Chapter 40"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21859","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:00Z","sha256":"38a90447a039f19cc0d383531570a985231a835c65a2f06b65fb25273a62f56e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-40.360","next":"us-ky/krs-40.364"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
