{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-40.460","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 40.460","heading":"Applications for bonus.","body":"(1) All applications for the bonus shall be submitted to the adjutant general,\nCommonwealth of Kentucky, in writing, upon forms made available for that\npurpose, and shall be accompanied by the documentary evidence prescribed by\nappropriate administrative regulations. Every application shall be certified under the\npenalties of perjury, and shall contain representations of the claimant or, if he shall\nhave been adjudged incompetent, or be an infant, of his committee or guardian, that:\n(a) The facts therein stated are true to the best of his knowledge and belief;\n(b) All documents submitted in support of the application are believed by the\nclaimant to be genuine originals or copies, as the case may be, and that the\nclaimant has no knowledge that the document has be en superseded or\ncancelled;\n(c) The claimant has not received from another state a bonus or compensation of\na like nature as provided by KRS 40.410 to 40.560;\n(d) The claimant has not received the Kentucky veterans' bonus provided under\nKRS 40.005 to 40.230 and 40.990;\n(e) The claimant has neither paid nor agreed to pay, directly or indirectly, any\ncompensation for assistance received in preparing and tendering the\napplication; and\n(f) The claimant has knowledge of the fine and forfeiture provisions of KRS\n40.410 to 40.560;\n(2) The application form shall contain provision for, and each claimant shall elect, one\n(1) of the following choices:\n(a) The claimant is eligible for and desires to receive a bonus payment; or\n(b) The claimant is eligible for a bonus pa yment but requests that his payment be\ndeposited into a veterans' program trust fund, which is hereby established, the\nproceeds and interest therefrom to be used for veterans' programs.","path":["KRS Chapter 40"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=39649","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:00Z","sha256":"9610e7244b1af1b821cd54c67865ed983228a8914b63e1c824105cff5ab33dce","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-40.450","next":"us-ky/krs-40.470"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
