{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-402.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 402.320","heading":"Marriage license applicants to be tested for trait or genetically transmitted","body":"disease affecting hemoglobin -- Counseling carriers.\nEvery physician examining applicants for a marriage license may obtain an appropriate\nblood specimen from each applicant  and forward same to the Division of Laboratory\nServices, Cabinet for Health and Family Services, or to a laboratory approved by the\ncabinet, to ascertain the existence or nonexistence of sickle cell trait or sickle cell disease,\nor any other genetically t ransmitted disease which affects hemoglobin.
