{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-403a.309","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 403A.309","heading":"Content of temporary custody order.","body":"(1) An order granting custodial responsibility under this article shall:\n(a) Designate the order as temporary; and\n(b) Identify to the extent feasible the destination, duration, and conditions of the\ndeployment.\n(2) If applicable, an order for custodial respon sibility under KRS 403A.301 to\n403A.311 shall:\n(a) Specify the allocation of caretaking authority, decision -making authority, or\nlimited contact among the deploying parent, the other parent, and any\nnonparent;\n(b) If the order divides caretaking or decisio n-making authority between\nindividuals, or grants caretaking authority to one (1) individual and limited\ncontact to another, provide a process to resolve any dispute that may arise;\n(c) Provide for liberal communication between the deploying parent and the  child\nduring deployment, including through electronic means, unless contrary to the\nbest interest of the child, and allocate any costs of communication;\n(d) Provide for liberal contact between the deploying parent and the child during\nthe time the deployi ng parent is on leave or otherwise available, unless\ncontrary to the best interest of the child;\n(e) Provide for the reasonable contact between the deploying parent and the child\nafter return from deployment until the temporary order is terminated, even if\nthe time of contact exceeds the time the deploying parent spent with the child\nbefore entry of the temporary order; and\n(f) Provide that the order will terminate pursuant to KRS 403A.401 to 403A.404\nafter the deploying parent returns from deployment.","path":["KRS Chapter 403A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51190","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:31Z","sha256":"0da7512c33962036e62d7ff69696d8e8e2a58c0a7c3e31cdd88026bfa61fe220","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-403a.308","next":"us-ky/krs-403a.310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
