{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-405.411","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 405.411","heading":"Newspaper publication of names of persons with child support arrearages","body":"or who fail to appear in child support cases.\n(1) The Office of the Attorney General's designee under KRS 15.802(6) for the\nadministration of child support may compile a list of the names of persons under its\njurisdiction who have a child support arrearage that equals or exceeds six (6)\nmonths without payment, or fail, after receiving appropriate notice, to comply with\nsubpoenas or warrants relating to paternity or child support proceedings as provided\nby 42 U.S.C. sec. 666(a)(16). The Office of the Attorney General may furnish this\nlist to the newspaper of general circulation in that county for publication.\n(2) The Department of Child Support Services in the Department of Law shall\ndetermine uniform standards for publication. The Office of the Attorney General is\nauthorized to promulgate the necessary administrative regulations under KRS\nChapter 13A to implement the provisions of this section.\n(3) For purposes of this section, \"newspaper of general circulation\" means a publication\nbearing a title or name, regularly issued at least as frequently as once a week for a\ndefinite price, having a second -class mailing privilege, being not less than four (4)\npages, publ ished continuously during the immediately preceding one (1) year\nperiod, which is published for the dissemination of news of general interest, and is\ncirculated generally in the political subdivision in which it is published and in\nwhich notice is to be given. In any county where a publication fully complying with\nthis definition does not exist, the Office of the Attorney General may publish this\nlist in the publication utilized by the Circuit Court Clerk of the county for\npublication of other legal notices  in the county.
