{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-405.440","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 405.440","heading":"Notice of, and hearing on, determination of obligation.","body":"The notice of a minimum monthly support obligation shall be served in person or by\ncertified mail, return receipt requested, and shall include at least the following:\n(1) The name of the child for whom the support obligation is owed;\n(2) The amount of the support debt accrued or accruing;\n(3) A statement that the parent's earnings and property, both real and personal, are\nsubject to judicial and administrative enforcement;\n(4) That the parent may dispute the obligation amount or any other matter contained in\nthe notice by requesting a dispute hearing within twenty (20) days;\n(5) That, unless there is good cause as determined by the Office of the Attorney\nGeneral for the parent's failure to request a hearing, if the parent does not request a\nhearing, his or her agreement will be presumed and the first payment will be due\ntwenty (20) days after receipt of the notice; and\n(6) That if the parent requests a hearing and fails to appear, the hea ring officer shall\naffirm the determination of minimum monthly support obligation.","path":["KRS Chapter 405"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56573","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:32Z","sha256":"84cd85d713c72c0890f3f8de5cb88729a872b9c53bee40db5512dc38740903ec","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-405.435","next":"us-ky/krs-405.450"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
