{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-405.991","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 405.991","heading":"Penalties.","body":"(1) Any person or corporation violating the provisions of KRS 405.465 or 405.467\nshall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500) or be imprisoned in the\ncounty jail for not more than one (1) year, or both.\n(2) A person who violates KRS 405.490(2) shall pay the Office of the Attorney General\nthe value of the property ordered to be held or the delinquent child support,\nwhichever is less, plus interest at the legal rate for judgments, court costs, and\nreasonable attorney's fees.\n(3) A person who violates KRS 405.430(12) shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor\nand, in addition to any other penalties provided by law, shall be responsible for\npayment of any difference between the amount of child support calculated using the\ncorrect information and the prior calculation using the false information.","path":["KRS Chapter 405"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56575","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:32Z","sha256":"b42512024517cee8bb10be3e5854b9129ad97e5adfe180dda2bd4a79bde4d9ef","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-405.990","next":"us-ky/krs-406.005"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
