{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-407.5104","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 407.5104","heading":"Application of Articles 1 to 6 and 7 to resident of foreign country and","body":"foreign support proceeding.\n(1) A tribunal of this state shall apply Articles 1 to 6 of this chapter and, as applicable,\nArticle 7 of this chapter, to a support proceeding involving:\n(a) A foreign support order;\n(b) A foreign tribunal; or\n(c) An obligee, obligor, or child residing in a foreign country.\n(2) A tribunal of this state that is requested to recognize and enforce a support order on\nthe basis of comity may apply the procedura l and substantive provisions of Articles\n1 to 6 of this chapter.\n(3) Article 7 of this chapter applies only to a support proceeding under the Convention.\nIn such a proceeding, if a provision of Article 7 of this chapter is inconsistent with\nArticles 1 to 6 of this chapter, Article 7 of this chapter controls.","path":["KRS Chapter 407"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44079","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:33Z","sha256":"e2047c4042f1e5837de6272b81b5c9c870da5032f0402e7f93a8800cb2e3a26f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-407.5103","next":"us-ky/krs-407.5201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
