{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-407.5206","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 407.5206","heading":"Continuing jurisdiction to enforce child support order.","body":"(1) A tribunal of this state that has issued a child support order consistent with the law\nof this state may serve as an initiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state\nto enforce:\n(a) The order if the order is the controlling order and has not been  modified by a\ntribunal of another state that assumed jurisdiction pursuant to the Uniform\nInterstate Family Support Act as provided in KRS 407.5101 to 407.5902; or\n(b) A money judgment for arrears of support and interest on the order accrued\nbefore a dete rmination that an order of a tribunal of another state is the\ncontrolling order.\n(2) A tribunal of this state having continuing jurisdiction over a support order may act\nas a responding tribunal to enforce the order.","path":["KRS Chapter 407"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45099","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:33Z","sha256":"bbc9716fef0ac4e16883bb3da889e8d215a340c3b1d67b9bc4c8cc8950dc70af","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-407.5205","next":"us-ky/krs-407.5207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
