{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-41.290","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 41.290","heading":"Private funds and contributions.","body":"Every department, institution or other agency of the state government having private\nfunds or contributions available for its support or for the purpose of defraying the\nexpenses of any work done under its direction shall deposit such funds or contribution s\nwith the Treasurer, and shall certify to the Finance and Administration Cabinet the\nsources from which the funds or contributions were received, the terms and conditions\nunder which, and the purpose for which, they were received, the names of the trustee s or\nadministrators of the funds or contributions, and the name of the person authorized to\napprove expenditures from each fund or contribution. All disbursements from such funds\nand contributions shall be made by the Treasurer on the warrants of the Finan ce and\nAdministration Cabinet, which shall issue such warrants only upon adequate vouchers\napproved by the person authorized to approve the expenditures. Separate accounting shall\nbe made for each such contribution, and the receipts and disbursements there of shall be\nmaintained by the Finance and Administration Cabinet. This section does not apply to\nprivate funds of students in state educational institutions nor to the private funds of\npatients or prisoners in state charitable or correctional institutions,  when such funds are\ndeposited with an officer of such institutions for safekeeping, nor to the private funds or\ncontributions made and available to the governing boards of the state supported\ninstitutions of higher learning.","path":["KRS Chapter 41"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21916","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:00Z","sha256":"47465527feb9a215d61c8149d9a45b6849f01d02e736cad1f7a06f5483a904ee","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-41.280","next":"us-ky/krs-41.295"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
