{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-42.0171","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 42.0171","heading":"Office of Administrative Services.","body":"(1) The Office of Administrative Services established in KRS 42.0145 shall be\ngenerally responsible for all internal administrative and human resource functions\nof the cabinet, including but not limited to providing administrative assistance;\nmanaging and prep aring the cabinet's budget; performing general accounting;\nmanaging fiscal, personnel, and payroll functions of the cabinet; providing\nstatewide postal and printing services; providing administrative support to boards\nand commissions; and performing any ad ditional administrative functions and\nduties the secretary may assign.\n(2) There shall be established in the Office of Administrative Services:\n(a) The Office of Budget and Fiscal Management, headed by an executive\ndirector who shall report directly to the  executive director of the Office of\nAdministrative Services, and consisting of the:\n1. Division of Budget; and\n2. Division of Fiscal Management; and\n(b) The following divisions which shall be headed by a division director who\nshall report to the executive director of the Office of Administrative Services:\n1. Division of Human Resources; and\n2. Division of Postal Services.\n(3) Executive directors and division directors appointed under this section shall be\nappointed by the secretary with the approval of the  Governor under KRS 12.050.\nThere may be, if needed, sections assigned to specific areas of work, responsible\ndirectly to the executive director of the Office of Administrative Services.","path":["KRS Chapter 42"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52611","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:01Z","sha256":"6193cfa0a3dfc0156676ea2d27f9cb844c69e4a280d37608a83e5f107b2f4d60","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-42.017","next":"us-ky/krs-42.0172"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
