{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-42.035","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 42.035","heading":"Executive Mansion -- Maintenance and operation -- Duties of cabinet as to","body":"food, personnel and Governor's travel expenses.\n(1) The Finance and Administration Cabinet shall be responsible for the management,\nmaintenance, and operation, including the purc hase for all purposes of all food and\nrelated supplies, of the Executive Mansion, and further including the reasonable and\nnecessary expenses of the chief executive while traveling on business of the\nCommonwealth outside of the state. Such personnel, inclu ding domestic and\nhousehold servants, as are necessary for the operation and maintenance of the\nExecutive Mansion shall be employed by the Finance and Administration Cabinet.\nThe provisions of KRS Chapter 42 shall apply to all purchases made for the\nmaintenance and operation of the mansion. None of the provisions of KRS 18A.110\nand 18A.155 shall apply to personnel employed for the maintenance and operation\nof the mansion.\n(2) A reasonable amount shall be deducted from the salary or other allowance of the\nGovernor for the consumption by the Governor and his family of such food and\nsupplies.\n(3) A reasonable amount shall be deducted from the salaries of personnel employed in\noperational and maintenance functions, including domestic and household servants,\nfor the consumption by such personnel of such food and supplies.\n(4) The Finance and Administration Cabinet shall maintain such records relative to the\nmanagement, maintenance, and operation of the Governor's Mansion and travel\nexpenses of the chief executive as may be dictated by sound accounting practices.","path":["KRS Chapter 42"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21972","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:01Z","sha256":"c76c6688c4409107ba4b08d218c06e904c1287fbff9e44246d0eea7d368b9340","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-42.032","next":"us-ky/krs-42.037"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
