(Effective April\n1, 2021)\n(1) To accomplish the work of the Commonwealth Office of Technology, all\norganizational units and administrative bodies, as defined in KRS 12.010, and all\nmembers of the state postsecondary education system, as defined in KRS 164.001,\nshall furnish the Commonwealth Office of Technology necessary assistance,\nresources, information, records, and advice as required.\n(2) The provisions of KRS 42.720 to 42.742, 45.253, 171.420, 186A.040, and\n186A.285 shall not be construed to grant any authority over the judicial or\nlegislative branches of state government, or agencies thereof, to the Commonwealth\nOffice of Technology.\n(3) The information, technology, personnel, agency resources, and confidential records\nof the Kentucky Retirement Systems, the County Employees Retirement System,\nthe Kentucky Public Pensions Authority, and the Kentucky Teachers' R etirement\nSystem shall be excluded from the provisions of KRS 42.720 to 42.742, 45.253,\n171.420, 186A.040, and 186A.285 and shall not be under the authority of the\nCommonwealth Office of Technology.","path":["KRS Chapter 42"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50545","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:03Z","sha256":"dd93007bbed9cd9e746f0a9ab90f8e779db080a5a3f15e58b15c764858866129","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-42.726","next":"us-ky/krs-42.730"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
