{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-422.260","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 422.260","heading":"Copy of record impounded in court may be recorded to supply lost record.","body":"If any written instrument, required or authorized by law to be recorded, has been\nrecorded, and the book containing it has been lost, destroyed, mutilated, or defaced, and\nan attested copy thereof is impounded in any court of this state, or any Circuit Cou rt of\nthe United States, or the Supreme Court thereof, any person may procure a copy of such\ncopy, attested by the officer having the custody thereof, and produce it to the clerk in\nwhose office the originals were recorded. The clerk shall rerecord the ins trument and\ncertify that it was recorded from a copy of a copy, and such record shall be prima facie\nevidence.
