A copying fee, not to exceed one dollar ($1) per page, may\nbe charged by the health care provider for furnishing a second copy of the patient's\nmedical record upon request either by the patient  or the patient's attorney or the\npatient's authorized representative.\n(2) The Department of Corrections shall not be considered as a health care provider\nunder this section; however, the department may make medical records of an\nindividual inmate available to that individual inmate unless the department, through\nits designee, determines that the provision of the record is subject to the provisions\nof KRS 197.025.","path":["KRS Chapter 422"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=18145","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:39Z","sha256":"1942ebf6e69438e9c56945343bc093811920abde6bc33ecd3af72a728e7c0541","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-422.315","next":"us-ky/krs-422.320"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
